Missouri Workers Compensation and Unemployment Insurance

The Division provides information about employer requirements to have workers' compensation insurance, answer questions about workers' compensation benefits, assist victims of violent crime, evaluate work sites for worker safety and provide information to employers on self-insuring for workers' compensation insurance purposes.

Unemployment Insurance programs provide partial protection for workers against loss of wages during periods of involuntary unemployment. The benefits paid to insured workers bolster the economy of the state during periods of economic recession by helping maintain the level of consumer purchasing power.

Illinois Industrial Commission - Industrial Commission is the state court for workers' compensation cases. Outside of the hearing rooms, our staff cannot answer specific legal or hypothetical questions. Employees can answer questions regarding Commission procedures and case status. Pension Benefit Guaranty   The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. is using a new Internet site to help workers locate pension money owed to them. The PBGC lists 9,887 workers who are owed more than $19 million in benefits and about 1,400 companies. The site can be searched by name, company or state.
